AMTA – New Jersey 2016 State Convention Recap

The 2016 AMTA – New Jersey State Convention was held in Somerset on Saturday, May 14, 2016 & Sunday, May 15, 2016. Our continuing education class, “Unique Aspects of Whiplash Syndrome” ( a 12 CE class) was presented by Judith Delany. Once again, Delany received top reviews from those in attendance. We would like to thank Ms. Delany and our sponsors; Performance Health and Massage Warehouse for their generosity. And thank you to those of you who spent your weekend with us.



The following positions were up for elections this year: President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary (each for a 2 year term), Treasurer ( 1 year term), 3 Delegate positions (2 year term) and 5 Alternate Delegates (1 year term.)

Our 2nd Annual ONLINE Elections yielded a 5.9% voter turn out of members eligible to vote. The results are as follows:

  • President – Kathy D Borsuk*
  • 2nd Vice President – Earline Fair
  • Secretary – Vacant**
  • Treasurer – Adrienne Asta
  • Delegate – Yathyra Portilla & 2 Vacant**
  • Alternate Delegate – 5 Vacant

Welcome new and returning volunteers!

When a position remains vacant from membership elections, the position moves to a board elected position.
*Kathy Borsuk (served the 2014-2016 term as President) will remain Chapter President by default until she resigns and the board will elect a new Chapter President, or until elections.
** Secretary and Delegate positions now move to board elections.
